Portofino Resort is located on a stretch of nature-preserved land bordering both the Gulf of Mexico and Pensacola Bay. The complex is composed of five towers, each separated by 300 feet of ecologically preserved. The property's amenities include five pools, five hot tubs, tennis courts, watersports, bicycle rentals, and nature trails. The resort offers complimentary transportation for guests to the Tiger Point Golf & Country Club. A private tram can shuttle guests around the property (seasonal), and arrangements can be made for charter boat fishing, dolphin cruises, or other excursions. The 40,000 square-foot Lifestyle Center at Portofino overlooks the bay and has fitness classes, a juice bar, massage therapists, and an atrium hot tub. For dining, a wine bar and the candlelit Terra Cotta restaurant are on site. Guests 25 years and younger are not permitted to register at the resort unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (one parent or legal guardian for every two persons under 25 years and younger). All rooms have balconies, domed entryways, arched ceilings, Roman whirlpool baths, separate living and sleeping areas, and entertainment facilities.
